I believe songs are very powerful and they can be very motivating. I am sure that we all have songs that remind us of a very special time in our life and when we hear them, we are immediately transported there. Because of this power, I believe they are a great instrument for learning language. I use them often.
Hold on Tight to your Dream - Prepositions
This is an inspirational song by the Electric Light Orchestra (also called ELO) which I used to create a video for my ESL class to practice prepositions. (If it sounds familiar, it was used on a Honda Accord commercial)
My Favorite Things - Nouns and Descriptive Adjectives
This is a song from the musical "The Sound of Music" and it's great for learning about adjectives and nouns.
